Another power of the French music scene, Alex Gopher, along with known stars Etienne de Crécy and both members of the band Air, started off with a pop band named "Orange". Today he holds great tracks combining elements of funk, house, and electronica, as well as his own label Solid.
And as a bonus, Gopher will be playing tonight at the local club Lux, joining the local portuguese guys from D.I.S.C.O TEXAS and their already famous Titan Thursdays. So maybe tomorrow I can tell you about Mr. Gopher's performance as a Dj :)
This pop/electronica/rock side project consists in a duo formed by guitarist Russell Lissack ( from Bloc Party ) and guitarist/singer Milena Mepris , formerly of the electro-punk band Black Moustache .

Their first single "Cryptic" appears on the « Kitsuné Maison 5 GOLD compilation » . Kitsuné also released a remix single of « Cryptic » in June 2008 , which features a remix by PHONES ( producer and remixer Paul Epworth ) .

Kid Cudi plus two of the best rappers nowadays , Kanye West and Common team up to work on a sample of....errr.. Lady Gaga's 2009 theme « Poker Face » ( Poke Her Face ! ) , and here's the result... an awesome track !! Here remixed by the nonetheless great DJ ...AFROJACK !!
The electronic music event Creamfields , is coming to Portugal once again !!!
« Creamfields International » is all around europe this summer , Spain ( Andalucia ) , Ukraine , Malta & more . Outside Europe , Singapore , Brazil and Argentina will be hosting events as well .
Some of them already happened but we are focusing on the portuguese event , which is taking place in 3 days ( 22nd , August ) on Vilamoura's ''Hipódromo'' at the sunny and well known ALGARVE !
Headlining the ' Cream stage ' will be the legendary Underworld , and Junior Boys . Acts performing on the ' Turbo stage ' include: Tiga , Proxy , Riton , Zombie Nation , Jori Hulkkonen , Jesper Dahlback , Seth Troxler , Thomas Von Party and Mike Mind. This will be the 2nd Creamfields event in Portugal following the debut show which was held in 2007 ( Lisbon ) .

Yes Yes Yes .... A very big event , known all around the world ..... this makes me proud , though I think events like this could ( and should ) happen more often in Portugal .
They are australian ( sydney ) and they've been described as « A skittering shitstorm of punk fury , disco beats and psychedelic excursions »
The first single , « 17 Deaths » from Lost Valentinos' debut album was released in June 2007 following work with producer Ewan Pearson ( The Rapture , The Chemical Brothers ) . « Miles From Nowhere » was released in August 2007 . The second single , « The Bismarck » from their new album , was released on the 12th of November 2008, on Bang Gang . This second new single marks a slight change in musical direction for the band , with « The Bismarck » sounding a bit more like a Dance band with guitars than an Indie Punk-Rock band that you can dance to ( like their previous releases ) .

The Black Ghosts are a UK based electronic duo composed by Theo Keating and Simon Lord , formed in 2006 . Keating and Lord had previously been in the bands ' The Wiseguys ' and ' Simian ' , respectively . In 2005 after the 4 elements of ' Simian ' split up , it allowed to generate Simian Mobile Disco , a production and remix team formed from the ashes of the previous band . This also lead to the creation of the Black Ghosts , who had Simian's ex-vocal & lead guitar Simon Lord , this just to let you know that they didn't come from nothing , and their background is a clear evidence of their quality in the musical department . The Black Ghosts style was described as being ' perverse , personal pop-music ' a tendency that has it's roots on both Keating's and Lord's childhood , Keating was encouraged by his mother to watch horror movies at a young age ; Lord's grandmother was considered psychic .
