The only thing I know for sure is that we are talking about a band named Silver Columns and Joe Goddard from Hot Chip is on the controls for this remix .
Video for « I Will Come Back » pays homage to their alternative dance fore-fathers , New Order . The « I Will Come Back » video re-imagines New Order's 1983 «Confusion» video with almost shot for shot faithfulness . Holy Ghost! went so far as to recruit producer Arthur Baker to reprise his role in the video.
LOVE THIS SHIT ! Sounds so smooth , so groovy ... Bringin' back the 80's ! Bringin' back the 80's ! Bringin' back the 80's ! If I say it too many times maybe it'll turn real...
Giorgio Moroder (born 1940) , is an Italian record producer , songwriter and performer . His work with synthesizers during the 1970s and 1980s had a significant influence on new wave , house , techno and electronic music in general .
Moroder released singles simply as "Giorgio" as early as 1966, singing in English, German, and Italian. He had a number of hits in his own name including "Son of My Father" in 1972 and "From Here to Eternity" in 1977 . The following year (1978) he released "Chase" , the theme from the film «Midnight Express» . All were hits in the UK . In 1979 Moroder released his album "E=MC²" . On the album's cover it was stated that it was the "first electronic live-to-digital album" . He also released three albums between 1977-1979 under the name "Munich Machine" . He scored many popular films in the 70's and 80's including «Midnight Express» , «American Gigolo» , «Flashdance» , «The Never Ending Story» , «Thief of Hearts» , «Electric Dreams» , «Over the Top» and «Scarface» .
In 1984 , Moroder worked with Philip Oakey of The Human League to make the album "Philip Oakey & Giorgio Moroder" ; with "Together in Electric Dreams" being a solid hit ! It was the title track to the movie of the same name as well . In 1986, Moroder collaborated with other names in music to create the score for the film «Top Gun» (1986) , with the most noteworthy hit being Berlin's "Take My Breath Away" .
Giorgio Moroder also wrote the official theme songs , "Reach Out" for the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics , and "Hand in Hand" for the 1988 Seoul Olympics . "Un'estate italiana" was the theme for the 1990 Football World Cup.
On September 20 , 2004 Moroder was honored at the ' Dance Music Hall of Fame ' ceremony , held in New York , he was inducted for his many outstanding achievements and contributions as producer .
He has already received a fair amount of love with his previous single « Learn To Recycle » and his new track « Set Me Free » has been on heavy rotation for a while for those who know their game . But the real buzz is only getting started now....
« Set Me Free » is a brilliant fusion of both french house and the more melodic variations of current big room sound , with the edgey disco roots of Daft Punk and the soulful warmth of a Fred Falke production . In short ; Phonat delivers this season's perfect peaktime anthem .
Get the extended mix and a remix from the swedish house mafia guy Avicii right here.
