Welcome post

Hey,

since this is my first post here - thanks for the opportunity to publish my musical sarcasm beyond the walls of facebook - I thought I should drop a track that it is kind of underground but is one of my favorites.

It's from a duo that used to work in the radiophonic workshop at BBC and among other things they are responsable for Dr. Who's theme. Also, I must remind you that the genius behind it is Delia Derbyshire... yes... a woman doing electronica in the 70's. This track is quite psychedelic - you have been warned.

Trivia - This track was featured twice in bugged out!'s mixcds. Once by Erol and the other by Simian.

King Of Snake

Remembering the great English duo Underworld who was recently in the Creamfields festival this summer in my hometown - Vilamoura, Portugal, here is King Of Snake!

Addicted to this old techno track, I just love its synth power and the subtle piano melody..

When We Come To It

Tim Liken aka Tim Deluxe is a London based DJ and producer. His tracks contemplate a wide range of styles and sounds and one of his biggest hits is the well known track "It Just Won't Do".

Recently out on Skint Records is a new EP with two tracks entitled "When We Come To It" and "Storm In a Teacup" where Deluxe explores the acid and dark sides of house music. Personally I'm already a fan of this one below.. Enjoy :)

Discodeine

Discodeine, representing the acclaimed label Dirty, are Benjamin Morando (aka Pentile) and Pilooski. Oh.. and yes, they´re french! No surprise there :p Pilooski has already established himself a very respectfull name on the scene and he seems to have quite a Midas touch turning everything he touches into pure gold. This dynamic duo Discodeine is no exception and definitely get a Pure Quality stamp!

Enough talking and lets let the music speak for itself. OH! and if you find yourself immediately surrendered to their sound don´t panic, they tend to have that effect on people.

My personal favourite. Pure genius combining various synth rhythims, tunes and melodies to utter perfection creating a song that just gets better and better and can´t help but to grow on you! You can listen to this one all day long... at least i can :p

Sounds like an epic battle between good and evil starting of sooo dark but slowly hearing the light at the end of the tunnel. Certainly very different

As usual, they´ve also done some remixing such as Metronomy´s Heartbreaker and portuguese duo Photonz' Trembler.

Incident

Joris Voorn is a native-born Dutch DJ, music producer and remixer from Schiedam concentrating in Deep House and Techno sounds since 1997. He has just released housy "Dusty House Room 2" available at beatport.

However, I leave here a track from the time when Voorn was making those slamming techno tracks and "Incident" was(is) one of my favourites!

Dusty Kid

Paolo Alberto Lodde aka Dusty Kid is an Italian young techno producer/dj. Despite being quite new in the scene his tracks and remixes have already made a stand about techno music. Richie Hawtin (Plastikman) himself pointed Dusty Kid as one of the new hotshots in techno music detroit style.

The album "A Raver's Diary" released in the 20th of April is a good proof of that. A mixture of different types of tracks always having techno music as its basis, and often pushing it to the limit.

Below I leave you with a track called "America" taken from the album. Not the best sample of the album style as a whole, but in my opinion a hell of a trip! Enjoy!

The mystery man's throbbing bass driven tracks took over dancefloors in 2008 . His mammoth track « Mars » and his string of fine remixes made him one of the most talked about producers of the year .
Everyone was thinking that Fake Blood could only be an alias of a well established producer , judging by the quality of the remix . But it turned out to be just someone new trying to leave a mark ....

The swiss guys from Round Table Knights have just released their EP , « Belly Dance » on Deadfish Audio .
If you like the groovy stuff put out by Sound Pellegrino , Solo , Mowgli , Riva Starr , etc , then you will enjoy this .

Paypur EP

Udachi & Jubilee take the stage with their beastly new release !
The « Paypur » EP features two original tracks , one named after the EP , « Paypur » , and « Smoke Rings » giving the 'old school' genre a new school outing , and it's also backed by a squadron of remixes from Nick Catchdubs , Dre Skull , and others .

Holy Ghost !

Video for « I Will Come Back » pays homage to their alternative dance fore-fathers , New Order . The « I Will Come Back » video re-imagines New Order's 1983 «Confusion» video with almost shot for shot faithfulness . Holy Ghost! went so far as to recruit producer Arthur Baker to reprise his role in the video.

Pukkelpop 2009

The Subs ...
They are Jeroen De Pessemier aka Papillon (singer/producer) , Wiebe Loccufier aka Tonic ( half of dj-duo Starski & Tonic , new owners of the Culture Club throne , as they took over the residency spot at the infamous Ghent ( Belgium ) club from 2 ManyDJs and The Glimmers ) and Stefan Bracke aka l’entrepreneur also fronting the raverockband Foxylane .

The past months , The Subs have thrilled the audiences with a live show comprising of a unique set up : A modern power trio , by treating the DJ as a real bandmember tweaking and mixing the beats , with synths , guitar and screaming vocals on top .
No hiding behind laptops !
The Subs take the sweaty punktrashfeel to the dance stage !

La Roux

Her voice is absolutely fantastic .
Her music is great . It's uplifting ...sometimes even magic !
Hands down for La Roux , this redhead (Rouge>La Rouge>La Roux) is really something , which for the moment and for the last months makes her the number one lady in the scene .



This is the fourth single ( the third to be taken from the debut album « Quicksand » ) . Which by the way is highly recommended .

The Field

Axel Wilner, better known as The Field, is a techno artist based in Stockholm, Sweden. His music is often filled with big tracks leading the audiance to a state of techno trance! I like to call it hypnotic techno music. And I'm also addicted to it!

The Field has already two albums, "From Here We Go To Sublime" from 2007 and "Yesterday And Today" released this year.

Influences

Driving to work yesterday (late again) I turned on the radio and stumbled upon what was to be the peak of my day. What better way to rush through traffic than to the sound of this epic song!? Which reminded me of how (damn!) good the Chemical Brothers are. So good, that in a conversation I had a while ago with some friends, one of them said that if they could be any music artist, they would choose the Chemical Brothers. At the time I was surprised, but after yesterday afternoon not anymore :)

So now I ask the same question to you: If you could be any music artist, who would you be?

Would you be a Band or a DJ? Black or White? Human or Robot? Religious or Fictious?

Kyle Watson has been involved in music his whole life , attending piano lessons for 8 years and taking music as a subject while he was at school .
He has been brought up with music running through his blood .

The immense interest he has in the production of house began a few years back when he got his hands on an early version of 'Dance eJay'. He played around with the program for 3 or 4 years , but yearned to have the power to produce his own music from scratch .
In 2006 he moved onto Reason , still producing short tunes just for fun . From there he taught himself everything he knows through continuous practice and trial and error .
As time went by and his producing continued , he developed his musical style into funky-electro and fidget house .
Trust me when I say this guy is set for big things ...

Now what should I say about their new album ?
« Romborama » ....after listening to almost every track in it... found it a fuckin' drama !
Really don't know if there is much to say besides that I was expecting more , much more , and so it turned to be quite a dissapointment .
It's not as danceable as I think it should be , though there are a few exceptions , and the overall work with the tracks in this album is a bit of a let down , though some may like it , this is my opinion .

« Talkin' In My Sleep » is one of the tracks that stands out .

« Bring It On Now » is the new single from french electro/hip-hop producer and graphic artist MtO ( here remixed by Hatchmatik ).
According to him , the trigger was pulled when he discovered Wu-Tang Clan on MTV at the age of 11 and decided he wanted to make music .
Since then he has produced beats for underground french hip-hop acts and produced his own fusion of sounds .
